There will be no trash pickup on Christmas and New Year’s days. Garbage collection will be delayed one day from Dec. 25 through Jan. 5. So, Monday’s routes will be serviced on Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will be serviced on Wednesday, and so on into Saturday during the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Routes for commercial customers will also lag by a day during that two-week span. City offices will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

The mission of the Civic Events Division is to provide clean, comfortable facilities along with exceptional support to events in City venues. The Civic Events Advisory Board makes recommendations regarding Civic Events Division policy to the San Angelo City Council.

The board generally meets at 11 a.m. on the last Thursday each month in the South Meeting Room of the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive. Agendas are posted on this website and at City Hall, 72 W. College Ave. Civic Events board meetings are broadcast on SATV, Suddenlink cable Channel 17, at 3 p.m. every Wednesday.

Board members are appointed to three-year terms by members of the City Council and operate under Council-approved bylaws. Board members may serve no more than two consecutive full terms.
