Animal Shelter lowers canine population with community, rescue help

Post Date:12/21/2022 7:58 AM

Last week, the San Angelo Animal Shelter was over capacity and had until Dec. 21 to have under 180 dogs before at-risk animals would have to be euthanized. The shelter was able to bring its canine population under capacity thanks to success from an out-of-state transport, as well as the holiday adoption event from the past weekend.

As of Wednesday, Dec. 21, the shelter population is under capacity with a total of 172 dogs housed.

The City of San Angelo would like to thank all who helped for their support, including shelter staff, Concho Valley PAWS and anyone who adopted, fostered or volunteered. You all helped save lives. 🐾

To adopt, foster or volunteer, please visit cvpaws.org, email info@conchovalleypaws.org or call 325-656-7387.
