The Concho Valley Farmers Market will celebrate its annual grand opening from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, under the Farmers Market Pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. The celebration will include a large array of fresh produce, live music and door prizes.
Customers can expect to see a little bit of everything: green onions, beets, radishes, fresh herbs, squash, plants, pecans, honey and more. New crops will be added as they come into season. Cash payment is recommended as not all vendors accept debit or credit cards.
Farmers can join the market for $15 or $20, which allows them to set up a stand for $5 or $10 at each sale. Vendors come from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo.
Normal hours are 7 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until October.
