Frontier Day, a near 50-year tradition, begins Saturday, April 20, at 7:30 a.m. with the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast is $8.
*The event has moved its events to the fort's Stables Hall on Henry O. Flipper Street due to impending bad weather.
The outside activities of the vintage baseball game, living history camps and pioneer lifeways have been canceled. Saturday’s Regional Cavalry Competition events have been rescheduled to run Wednesday-Friday.
There will be numerous special displays and activities that reflect our agricultural and ranching heritage, including beekeeping, sheep shearing, native plants, knifemaking, spinning, pioneer home cooking, and 1800s games and crafts. Ongoing entertainment, a Mexican American Heritage House, a skit by the Concho Cowboy Company, a Native American camp with Chief Broken Eagle, and trick roper Doug Whittaker will fill out your morning!
