Juneteenth parade & celebration

Join the Blackshear Heights family for continued celebrations at the Juneteenth Parade and a community celebration at MLK Park. The parade will take place at 10 a.m. at 9th Street & Martin Luther King Drive, followed by arts and crafts, a BBQ cookoff, and games and activities for all ages at MLK Park.

Juneteenth is all about unity in diversity, bringing people together regardless of race. It's important to educate our youth about the significance of Juneteenth and celebrate culture. We are excited to organize a memorable Juneteenth festival that will leave a lasting impact on our community. We will have activities to engage and inspire our youth, we have planned a range of exciting activities. Juneteenth festival aims to achieve unity, education, and empowerment. By organizing a diverse range of activities and providing resources to support our youth, we can create an inclusive and vibrant celebration of Juneteenth. We are excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community and look forward to bringing our vision to life.
