Join us for an evening celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Angelo State Symphony Orchestra with a performance of Creation by Dan Forrest. Under the baton of Dr. Fagner M. Rocha, with choirmaster Dr. Eric Posada and Handbell Choir directed by Dr. Louellen Meyer, this musical masterpiece will come to life in a stunning collaboration of talent. Featured soloists include Dr. Jessica Posada (soprano) and Dr. David Grogan (baritone), alongside the combined choirs of ASU Chorale, San Angelo Chorus, Howard College Choir, and Central High School Choirs. We are honored to welcome Dan Forrest, the composer himself, as a special guest for this unforgettable performance.

CREATION Dan Forrest (b. 1978)

Written for the 75th anniversary of the Wayne Oratorio Society (Philadelphia), Dan Forrest’s CREATION honors the 225th anniversary of Haydn’s similarly titled masterpiece. This 72-minute work for chorus and orchestra is less a strict narrative, and more a celebration of the wonders and beauties of our world, using a variety of ancient texts as thematic commentary.
