Foster Communications Coliseum opened Aug. 29, 1958. Located at 50 E. 43rd St., the circular domed arena has permanent seating for 4,898 with the ability to add 1,650 portable seats. The arena floor is 20,000 square feet and can accommodate 122 8x10 exhibit booths.
The multipurpose arena is home to the San Angelo Rodeo, the nation's fifth-largest rodeo. The climate-controlled Foster Communications Coliseum is ideal for concerts, ice shows, rodeos, circuses, arena football, family shows, trade shows and exhibits. Its rate structure is affordable enough to host private events and it is versatile enough to accommodate an almost endless number of setups. (For a photo gallery, click the image above.)
