Changes to COVID-19 reporting

Post Date:01/10/2022 1:04 PM

Help slow the spread of omicron (COVID-19), flu, strep, RSV and other illnesses by doing the following:

  • Get vaccinated if possible. Vaccinations are available for COVID-19 and for flu for certain ages. Talk to your doctor if you have questions about vaccinations. Visit vaccines.gov for vaccination sites in our area.
  • Stay home if you are sick or contact a doctor if you need medical attention.
  • Wear a well-fitted mask around others.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes when masks are not available.
  • Avoid large crowds or gatherings.
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Stay 6 feet away from others.

Help keep our community safe by following these steps.

Daily reports will consist of:
  • Total positive cases
  • Active cases
  • Currently hospitalized
  • New positives
  • New deaths
We will no longer be reporting a case spreadsheet with demographic information for new positives.

Friday reports will consist of:
  • Cumulative number of positive cases
  • Active cases
  • Released cases
  • Vaccination numbers (provided by the state)
  • Positivity rate
  • Total number of tests
  • Total number of negative tests
  • Cumulative hospitalized
  • Currently hospitalized
  • Currently in ICU
  • Cumulative deaths
  • Vaccination status for COVID-19-related deaths since July 1, 2021
  • Percentage of vaccinated/unvaccinated who are currently hospitalized
Friday reports will no longer track demographic information. Statewide demographic information for COVID-19 can be found at bit.ly/3zWnmgN. We will only be reporting vaccination status for COVID-19-related deaths and the percentage of vaccinated/unvaccinated who are currently hospitalized.
