Submitting this online application is the first step to securing a permit for limousines, taxi cabs or horse-and-buggy rides. Copies of the following documents must be brought to the Code Compliance offices on the second floor of the Community Development Building, 52 W. College Ave., adjacent to City Hall: 

  • A copy of your compliance bond as required in Sec. 5.607 of the City Code of Ordinances.
  • A copy of your certificate of insurance as required in Sec. 5.618 of the City Code of Ordinances.
  • A copy of a receipt showing payment of property taxes for property used in connection with the transportation business.
  • A copy of a financial statement showing assets, liabilities and equity of the business. 
  • A copy of your schedule of fees.
  • A list of the names of all drivers with their chauffeur license number and date of issue.

The application must be signed by the applicant and notarized by a notary public of the State of Texas.
