Active street projects
College Hills Boulevard: Loop 306 to Avenue N
Construction type: full-depth reclamation of roadway, drainage work, underground utilities, signalized intersection upgrades and ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps.
Cost: $32.6 million.
Contractor: Reece Albert Inc.
Current status:
- Began May 2022.
- Water and sewer utility replacement complete.
- Project on track to be completed by the end of 2024.

- Road construction is 80-85% complete.
- The next big thing will be stabilizing the subgrade from Cumberland to Loop 306.
Howard Street: Glenna South to Sherwood Way
Construction type: mill and overlay, reconstruction of roadway, utility rehabilitation and installation of sidewalks/signal improvements.
Cost: $7.3 million.
Construction phase: Underway
Edmund/Glenna/29th Street
Construction type: mill and overlay, reconstruction of roadway, utility rehabilitation and installation of sidewalks/signal improvements.
Design phase: 100% complete.
Construction Phase: Utility work underway; road work will begin in November.
Ricks Drive Sidewalk
New sidewalk as part of a safe-routes-to-school project from Producer’s Park to Holiman Elementary School to Gordon Boulevard in the Paul Ann Subdivision. Construction is approximately 50% complete.
Street signage
Signs indicating what type of traffic is permitted.
- Closed to thru traffic/no thru traffic – Normal traffic on the roadway is closed but vehicles are permitted to pass to access properties in the area.
- Road closed – No vehicles beyond this sign or barricade.
