Nutrition
The nutrition program is available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Santa Fe Crossing Senior Center, 702 S. Chadbourne St.
Senior Services hosts a nutrition program that is open to all participants of the Santa Fe Crossing and Station 618 senior centers. The nutrition program is funded in part by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services through the Concho Valley Council of Governments, Area Agency on Aging, the City of San Angelo and participant donations.
The following requirements must be met to participate in the program:
- Participants must be 60 years of age or older
- Required registration must be completed
The cost per meal is a suggested $3 donation for program participants. Guests younger than 60 years of age are welcome at a cost of $6 per meal.
The nutrition program is available at Santa Fe Crossing Senior Center, 702 S. Chadbourne St., from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at the Christian Village and Oak Grove senior living facilities. Meals are not served or delivered on City holidays.
Prepared meals must meet one-third of the recommended dietary allowance. Menus are composed by a certified/registered nutritionist which are provided by the Area Agency of Aging.
